Ripstop fabrics are often used in yacht sails and spinnakers, hot air balloons, kites, parachutes, remote control hovercrafts, camping equipment such as lightweight tents and sleeping bags, swags, flags, banners, and other applications requiring a strong lightweight fabric. They can also be used for windbreakers and water-resistant jackets. Note: This nylon ripstop weights 1.9 oz., has a DWR finish (a water-repellent finish great for rainwear), and contains a Urethane coating.
